hey guys, winnie just told me that a blog is the best way to keep people updated about yourself. thought about it, and its quite true. at least pple will know what im up to nowadays.

basically, im not being exactly excited about going over. the uni server sucks. the reason why im up now is cos new york is exactly 12 hrs behind us. so i have to stay up at such unearthly hours trying to get through the server. called them up, and this girl says," you're calling from china?" when she knew my last name was tan. if tones could kill she'd be dead a hundred times over.

well, anyway, i had to settle the housing application through NYU home. which is this intranet kinda thing. but i cant login to NYU home. so right now, im panicking cos the deadlines on 1st june and im supposed to sail tomorrow and 31st may. and now im crossing my fingers, trying to figure out how to tell XO that i have serious constraints for sailing. ( think XO thinks im trying to wriggle my way out of every sailing, but every sailing, i seem to have something to do)

Chua is gonna ORD today. lets just say im losing a good friend onboard. who else will put chocs in unexpected places, offer to buy u lunch, and insist that u eat the lunch he bought though u said u werent hungry. who else would help u in even the simplest things such as getting a hole puncher. every watch in the bridge was enjoyable with him cos he came up with the lamest jokes. ( latest one was what do u call an arrogant homosexual? a dao gay- bean sprout) hahaha. well, im gonna miss him. but being out of the squadron can never be a bad thing, so i wish u all the best. spread your wings and fly, but never lose track of your clearing bearings ya.

kai is a source of comfort and strength. i kinda argued with him 2 days ago. we were supposed to go watch over the hedge together. i called and said, lets try cathay. and i was at cathy cineplex looking for a cheers which he said he was in. then we realised he was at cathay cineleisure.not a very good start to the evening eh? then tickets were all sold out. so we ended up walking to clarke quay. i called him childish. cos he couldnt understand why i decided to let him go. i told him that long distance was never easy, and it aint gonna be easy with us. i didnt want emotional baggage. and it was always the one left behind who would suffer. he said i was childish. that i was trying to act and think older than i was. in the end, we cleared things up. and what he said at the end of the day, made me so relieved, i didnt wanna hurt me no more.
" i guess its kind of a closure tonight. it was so harsh, so abrupt before". ah well.

left my registry card in the ships office. then received this call from a guy who said he was brave's LWET. weird, cos i didnt know how he got my number. somehow, he messaged me, asking can i meet u for dinner. wonder if it was an extortion or a date. but i told him i wasnt free. afterall, ive never met him, i didnt even know how he looked like. so i arranged to pick the card up from redhill mrt which is near his place. but he called me nearing the meeting time and told me he was going to tiong bahru to meet a friend. i then offered to meet him at tiong bahru. but he said, dont worry, just wait downstairs in 10 mins....notice anything weird?

he knew where i stay!!! and my hp no! gosh. freaky. and anyway, he looked alright. but i was still freaked out, if u know what i mean.

isaac is in aussie. i miss him.. and his car. haha. no ride to work. = (
