Ship sailed to sattahip for exercise for a week..thank God that we had sea state 0 on our transits. the sea was calm, with the soft breeze creating just ripples on the glass sea. watches were tiring with just blue seas all around, and with the missing telephone reception cos we were more than 20 miles off shore, i was rudely cut off from the rest of the world for 4 days. however, we took it upon ourselves to entertain. monopoly while off watch, anecdotes which had everyone reeling over in laughter, lame jokes, late night suppers, thai produced snacks all made their due appearance on the bridge. and who could ever forget the shushes and nudges everyone gave each other whenever a certain someone came onto the bridge.

travelled to pattaya while at sattahip port. had a great time with my crew, just walking around, shopping, but pattaya isnt really a place u wanna go alone as a female. neon lights, massage parlours, a-go-go bars litter the street. and even in the day, u have hoards of females putting on their most seductive pose, just waiting for someone to pick them up. every caucasian had a thai girl, barely covered and in their cakey makeup.\

visited an a-go-go bar, and it was nothing like even the strip clubs elsewhere. these girls had number tags on them and they danced topless and in their bikini bottoms in the centre which had just poles, like a casserole. the guys submitted request slips for whoever caught their fancy. occassionally, u had the star wars theme playing, and the more senior females would appear, strutting their stuff, then seperating into pairs where they would carress and eat each other. not a very pleasing sight to me, but i came to realise that guys, no matter how decent will be interested in things like that.

but those were the vices of pattaya. am i blessed to be in singapore.
